About Build Community
Join us for Habitat for Humanity Detroit’s 2020 Build CommUNITY event on Friday, June 12. Volunteers and residents will unify through our shared commitment to improve the lives of our neighbors in the Piety Hill neighborhood. In partnership with Central Detroit Christian Community Development, we will turn neglected spaces into vibrant habitats; clearing alleys, sprucing up parks and playscapes, painting inspirational murals, reviving gathering spots – all for the residents to enjoy and appreciate.
What we manage to accomplish in a single day will have a lasting impact on the community. While these are things one might take for granted, they are a big deal for those who know what it means to be without.
